Half Day Course
The Power of Contentment
Saturday 18 July
1 -4pm
online and onsite (rsvp to reserve your in-class space)
with Resident Teacher Kelsang Kunden
One common suffering that we all know well is having to experience the uncomfortable feelings that come with circumstances that we do not like and cannot change. We often feel trapped with these painful feelings – believing that freedom from this discomfort will only come when our circumstances change. However, Buddha taught that although we may not be able to change our external situation, but we certainly can change our restless, discontented minds. When our mind is free from distraction and craving we can experience its natural stillness, allowing us to find peace in every moment of our life, regardless of the external situation.
In this half – day course with our Resident Teacher, Kelsang Kunden, we will come to know the freedom and the power of a contented mind. This is the essence of the practice of patience and the foundation of a happy mind. Through training in the practice of contentment we can develop for ourselves a stable and peaceful mind that remains strong no matter what external situations we encounter. Suitable for beginners and experienced meditators. Everyone welcome.
This course will be based on the book How to Transform Your Life.
