Every new year brings with it the promise of new possibilities. We set our sights high and often commit to multiple big, bold new year’s resolutions. Which we inevitably break within a week or so.
Why do we struggle to create real change in ourselves? According to Buddha, it’s because we hold a view of ourselves as fixed and unchanging. When we try to change while holding on to this ‘fixed’ self, we find change impossible. By changing the way we view ourselves, we can make deep and lasting change a real possibility. In this half day meditation course we will learn the Buddhist perspective on how we can shift our perceptions of ourselves to enable meaningful transformations to happen. We will deepen this understanding with contemplation and meditation and advice on how to engage in mindful change during our daily activities.
Anyone can attend. The course consists of teachings, meditations, discussion and refreshments.
