Through the power of recitation and visualization, and through receiving Vajrasattva’s blessings, we will gradually purify our mind and our actions. In this way we can improve our qualities as a human being, and eventually become a special holy being.’
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, Teachings on Vajrasattva, 1993
The power to purify or ‘purification’ is an essential spiritual practice, removing the weight of negative karma (or negative mental energy) that is the source of all our daily problems, negativities and suffering. Through sincerely engaging in this practice with the four opponent powers, regret, reliance, application and promise, we will solve our daily problems, purify all negative karma we have accumulated, and become a pure being.
This half-day course is an introduction to the practice of Vajrasattva is a good preparation for the Empowerment of Buddha Vajrasattva offered the following weekend at KMC Canada in Toronto. Receiving this empowerment will make this practice more powerful.
