In our busy multi-tasking world, distraction steals our time and productivity. Do we need to slow down or just become more mindful of how we are engaging with our world? More and more, we are learning that multi-tasking is over-rated and counterproductive whereas mindfulness brings many benefits. Meditation practice improves our mindfulness and concentration which in turn improves the quality of our daily life.
The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful, we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will be able to make skillful decisions that lead to happiness. But if our mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy, even if we are living in the very best conditions. Through learning to meditate and developing a daily practice we will eventually be able to stay happy all the time, even in the most difficult circumstances.
This half-day workshop includes guided meditations, practical advice on how to maintain the experience of inner peace in daily life and time to discuss the ideas presented. There will be time for Q&A. Light refreshments included.
