Great Preliminary Guide
Doorway to Freedom
Postponed to February 2021
The foundation of the Buddhist way of life is to go for refuge – to Buddha, to guide us along the spiritual path to enlightenment; to Dharma (Buddha’s teachings) to protect us from fear and suffering; and to Sangha (those practising Buddha’s teachings) to inspire us, show a good example and to help us along the path to inner peace.
Join us for a special weekend refuge retreat this Spring. We will engage in the Refuge Preliminaries, one of the practices of the Four Great Preliminary Guides of Mahamudra. In this retreat, we will train in sincerely going for refuge, the gateway to entering Buddhism; and the training in the compassionate mind of bodhichitta, the gateway to entering the Mahayana, the main path to the state of enlightenment. These preliminary guides are the special preliminary practices of Mahamudra and very powerful practices to fulfill our aim of enlightenment.
During this retreat, we will receive teachings from The Oral Instructions of Mahamudra and use the sadhana, 100 Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra.
Please contact us for pricing. Meals will be included.
For out of town visitors a list of accommodation options will be announced soon.
