21 Meditations

January 5:  Great Compassion
7 – 8:30pm

In each class we will engage in one lamrim (stages of the path to Enlightenment) meditation. Each class will consist of a guided breathing meditation, followed by a teaching to familiarize ourselves with the points to contemplate. This will be followed by a guided meditation on the lamrim meditation. After the meditation, there will be advice on how we can put our new understanding into practice in our daily life. In this way, we can deepen our experience of the lamrim meditation in the week ahead.

This class is based on the lamrim meditation: great compassion. If, on the basis of cherishing all living beings, we contemplate the fact that they experience the cycle of physical suffering and mental pain in life after life without end, their inability to liberate themselves from suffering, their lack of freedom and how, by engaging in negative actions, they create the causes of future suffering, we will develop deep compassion for them.

Join Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Kunden for 21 Meditations January 5 with time to contemplate and meditate on profound teachings that will deepen our inner experience of wisdom and compassion.

Everyone is welcome regardless of background or previous experience.
