”By following the programme during the Festivals we can increase our wisdom, which is very important for our inner development and to solve our daily problems. All our activities during Festival time – listening to teachings, discussing their meaning, contemplating and meditating on them, reciting prayers and making offerings – are virtuous actions.“

– Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

Open to everyone, the Canadian National Festival online is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a spiritual break with like-minded people from around Canada. During this special Festival, Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, will begin by granting the empowerment of Buddha White Tara, the Buddha of loving kindness, and explain how through relying on her we can become free from all the outer and inner obstacles and hindrances to our progress. She will bless our mind to become a completely pure being, a Buddha. In this way, we will be able to really benefit others.

White Tara is a female enlightened being whose function is to bestow long life, good fortune and wisdom. We need all three to fulfil our deepest wishes for pure and everlasting happiness. By relying upon White Tara with deep faith, she will protect us from heavy diseases, disasters, fires and many other dangers. During the Festival, Gen-la Khyenrab will grant the blessing empowerment, give commentary and explanations on how to integrate these beautiful practices into our daily lives.
