Special Class in Fergus this Summer

Thursdays in July
6 – 7:15pm
Wellington County Library
Fergus Branch

with Gen Kelsang Kunden

This class consists of guided meditations and teachings that we can contemplate and practice throughout the week. Each contemplation has a practical application to solve our daily problems. Through putting effort into applying these teachings to our daily lives, we can make great progress increasing our own inner peace. Through engaging in meditation practice we can develop and maintain a peaceful mind all the time. If we have a peaceful mind all the time we will be happy all the time, regardless of whether our conditions are good or bad. Now is the time to train in inner peace and happiness by putting Buddha’s teachings into practice.

What to Expect in a Class

Our meditation classes are for anyone interested in learning how to meditate, regardless of background or beliefs. Classes are designed to give a broad introduction to Buddhist meditation, teachings, and practice.
Every class includes a chance to practise meditation. No prior experience, special equipment or special clothes are necessary for our onsite classes – just come as you are.

Classes are all standalone individual classes that are presented in a series. You do not need to attend the full series to attend a class.

New Topics this Spring & Summer

Our series of classes this summer are based on understanding how the world around us is a reflection of our mind, and gaining a deeper understanding of the mind itself. Through understanding our mind in this way, we can gain control over our mind and liberate ourself from the wild painful thoughts that give rise to anxiety, anger and other painful emotions. In this way we will open our mind to a joyful, creative and game changing approach to experiencing our lives and our relationships.

Class Series Topics

Freedom from Anger and Frustration

Summer Series in July and August

We all know the pain of anger and frustration. At these series of classes learn how to overcome anger and frustration through meditation and find freedom from these painful and destructive minds.

freedom from frustration - meditation classes

These Buddhist teachings are so practical for modern busy people to put into practice in our daily lives. We will find that these teachings and meditations are particularly powerful for helping us develop a strong, stable, peaceful mind of patient acceptance, thus overcoming our tendency to become stressed, anxious, or angry in difficult situations.

These classes are based on the book How to Solve Our Human Problems.

The classes are presented in a series but each class is stand-alone. You do not need to attend the full series to benefit from the classes.
