Through putting effort into applying these teachings to our daily lives, we can make great progress increasing our own inner peace. Through engaging in meditation practice we can develop and maintain a peaceful mind all the time. If we have a peaceful mind all the time we will be happy all the time, regardless of whether our conditions are good or bad. Now is the time to train in inner peace and happiness by putting Buddha’s teachings into practice.

Class Series Topics

Medicine for the Mind

The Buddhist vision for Radiant Mental Health

More and more these days it seems that everyone is “working on my mental health.” So many people are struggling with depression or anxiety, or insecurity or feelings of rejection. But what does it mean to be mentally healthy? What is a fully healthy mind? Do we even have an image of what that would be?

Medicine for the Mind

Actual mental health is much more than simply not being depressed or not being anxious. It is much more than simply being able to cope better with life. Through Buddha’s teachings on the mind we are given a vision of a fully healed mind, a vision of radiant mental health.

These classes are based on the books How to Solve Our Human Problems and  The New Eight Steps to Happiness. Come along and learn how to make your life deeply meaningful.

Discovering the Mind

Discovering the Wonder of the Mind

We often say, “My mind, my mind,” but if someone were to ask us , “What is the mind?,” we would have no correct answer. This is because we do not understand the nature and function of the mind correctly. In this series of classes we will learn about our different levels of mind, how to transform our mind and how to improve our concentration in meditation.

Medicine for the Mind

In this series we will have an opportunity to meditate on the clarity of the mind – a powerful way to create the deep inner peace that we wish for.

These classes are based on the books How to Understand the Mind and  The New Eight Steps to Happiness. Come along and learn how to make your life deeply meaningful.

Freedom from Anger and Frustration

Summer Series in July and August

We all know the pain of anger and frustration. At these series of classes learn how to overcome anger and frustration through meditation and find freedom from these painful and destructive minds.

These Buddhist teachings are so practical for modern busy people to put into practice in our daily lives. We will find that these teachings and meditations are particularly powerful for helping us develop a strong, stable, peaceful mind of patient acceptance, thus overcoming our tendency to become stressed, anxious, or angry in difficult situations.

These classes are based on the book How to Solve Our Human Problems.

The classes are presented in a series but each class is stand-alone. You do not need to attend the full series to benefit from the classes.
