Foundation Program May 10
Studying Meaningful to Behold (a commentary to the Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life)
On May 3, we began a new term of study with the second section of Meaningful to Behold – Becoming a Friend of the World. This section of the book covers Chapters 3 “Conscientiousness” and Chapter 4 “Guarding the Mind With Alertness.“
We are currently studying a new section of Meaningful to Behold – Becoming a Friend of the World by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. This precious text is a highly acclaimed commentary to the great Indian Buddhist Master Shantideva’s famous spiritual poem Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, one of the best loved and most important texts of Mahayana Buddhism. It reveals with poetic beauty and deep spiritual insight how to enter, make progress on, and complete the Buddhist path to enlightenment.
To join the Foundation Program, it is necessary to register to the study of a complete section of the book (May – October), but you are welcome to join anytime after a section has started. If you have been attending our classes regularly and would like to engage in more meditation and discussion to gain deep realizations of the spiritual path, this program is for you. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to sit in on a class.
