To get the most from the retreat, we recommend  Modern Buddhism. This book contains readings and meditations on Heruka Body Mandala as well as Yoga of Buddha Heruka prayers that we will engage in each session. The sessions will also include more detailed information from Essence of Vajrayana, also available from Tharpa Publications.

This Heruka Body Mandala retreat is based on the book Modern Buddhism by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Modern Buddhism is perfectly suited for inspiring those seeking solutions within Buddhism to problems of everyday life, as well as for encouraging practitioners of all faiths to deepen their understanding and practice of the spiritual path.

This book is available as a print or free book from Tharpa Publications.
