Tuesday meditation class

Join us on Tuesday evenings and feel empowered to change yourself and change the world. This class begins with a guided breathing meditation followed by a  teaching exploring one aspect of Buddha’s teachings – which focus on solutions to problems in daily life. The teaching is followed by beautiful chanted prayers and dedication for all those who are experiencing difficulties. Everyone welcome regardless of background or previous experience.

Tuesday meditation class - prayers for world peace

Before our Tuesday meditation class, we engage in Heart Jewel prayers and a guided Lamrim meditation. Heart Jewel is a daily practice for Kadampa practitioners. We engage in 20 minutes of prayers to our Spiritual Guide, Je Tsongkhapa followed by a 15 minute guided meditation. We finish with 20 minutes of chanted prayers to our Dharma protector, Dorje Shugden, who removes obstacles to our spiritual practice and provides good conditions. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Heart Jewel prayers and Meditation for World Peace are held onsite only. There is no charge to attend.

Everybody needs to be good-natured with a good heart, because in this way we can solve our own problems as well as those of others, and we can make our human life meaningful.

What to Expect in a Meditation for World Peace Class

Our meditation classes are for everyone who is interested in learning how to meditate, regardless of background or beliefs. Classes are designed to give a broad introduction to Buddhist meditation, teachings, and practice. This is a short class, with time for prayers and silent contemplation so that we can increase our own inner peace and compassion.

No prior experience, special equipment or special clothes are necessary for our onsite classes – just come as you are. Masks are optional.

This is a free class for everyone. Everyone welcome.
