Refreshing and resetting ~ Get in the Spirit of the Festival with this Pre-Festival Public Talk!

Every day, we experience a variety of feelings and emotions, sometimes pleasant but very often unpleasant.  When we understand that our discomfort, worries, sadness and pain are all parts of our mind, we will come to realize that it is possible to change our negative mental attitudes into more positive ones.  With kindness and without guilt, the teachings on karma shed the light to dismantle all our inner conflicts through a process of introspection, guided by wisdom.

In order to lead our life in a happy, confident manner, we need to take responsibility for our experiences, responding in constructive ways rather than with self-pity or self-blaming.  Join us for this inspiring Public Talk for both Buddhists and non Buddhists.  Everyone welcome!

Our National Spiritual Director - Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab

Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT) National Spiritual Director for Canada and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada in Toronto. A retired General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU), Gen-la has trained closely with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for forty years and holds the lineages of his blessings in his heart.

He is an internationally renowned Buddhist Teacher who is greatly admired for his powerful teachings, his wisdom, as well as his great humility and loving-kindness that makes him a pure example for thousands of Kadampa practitioners throughout the world. He is also well-known for his deep understanding of Buddha’s teachings and his ability to convey their profound meaning in a very clear and accessible way. We are extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to receive teachings directly from him. Join us for this special public talk with Gen-la Khyenrab this November.
