Each class consists of guided meditations and teachings that we can contemplate and practice throughout the week. Each contemplation has a practical application to solve our daily problems. Through attending classes and putting effort into applying these teachings to our daily lives, we can make great progress increasing our own inner peace. Through engaging in meditation practice we can develop and maintain a peaceful mind all the time. If we have a peaceful mind all the time we will be happy all the time, regardless of whether our conditions are good or bad. Now is the time to train in inner peace and happiness by putting Buddha’s teachings into practice.

What to expect in a course

New Topics this Fall

Our series of classes this fall are based on understanding how the world around us is a reflection of our mind, and gaining a deeper understanding of the mind itself. We will focus on those positive minds that we all have within us – minds that are causes of happiness. By increasing these positive minds, we will gain more merit and power in the mind. In this way we will open our mind to a joyful, creative and game changing approach to experiencing our lives and our relationships.

Beauty within is reflected on the world around us. We can train to develop and increase our inner beauty through the practice of consideration for others, and conscientiousness. Through reflecting and meditating on Buddha’s teachings, we can develop mindfulness with respect to our own actions of body, speech and mind and become aware of how our actions impact others in positive and negative ways.

Meditations for Daily Harmony

November meditation series

Many of our problems and difficulties arise from our unbalanced mind towards others. These unbalanced minds, lead to unbalanced and awkward, uncomfortable relationships that in turn affect our peace of mind. How can we think about others in a balanced way? A way that keeps our mind warm, smooth and comfortable?

meditation classes

Buddha taught that we are all capable of developing this mind of equanimity by thinking about others in correct ways based on wisdom. This will open us to experience a smooth, balanced mind and warm heart for all living beings.

Join Gen Kelsang Kunden as we meditate and contemplate on Buddhist wisdom that will increase our love and compassion for others.

Letting Go Our Negative Minds

December meditation series

In daily life it is easy to become overwhelmed by negative thoughts and unhappy feelings. There are countless situations that we find difficult or challenging, and without methods to protect our mind we can easily feel stressed, anxious or angry. Buddha taught that these negative minds all arise from one source – the mind of self-cherishing. As we train in abandoning self-cherishing, our negative thoughts and feelings will subside and our happiness and inner peace will increase.

letting go negative minds

Abandoning self-cherishing is the key to increasing happiness, love, and compassion. And we can accomplish this by using all situations we encounter as an opportunity to train in overcoming this most negative mind.

Join Gen Kelsang Kunden with meditations and contemplations to abandon our most negative mind, our self-cherishing.

This book is based on How to Understand the Mind and How to Transform Your Life.

The classes are presented in a series but each class is stand-alone. You do not need to attend the full series to benefit from the classes.
