International Kadampa Festivals

The New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union ([NKT-IKBU] organizes three international festivals each year: Spring (May) and Summer (July-August) and the Fall Festival.

Spring and Summer Festivals are held at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre in Ulverson, UK and a Fall Festival hosted by a different country each year.

This year, due covid-19, the Spring, Summer and Fall Festivals are all held online so you are free to join safely from the comfort of your home. We understand that things can be busy when watching from home, so the festival teachings will all be available for viewing two to four weeks afterward. Please see each festival for details.

National Kadampa Festivals and Celebrations

The Canadian National Festival

The Canadian National Kadampa Festival is held every June (usually the first or second weekend) at our National Canadian Temple, Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada.  Our annual Canadian National Festival is a special event where people come together from all across Canada to enjoy meditations, teachings and connect with spiritual friends.

Buddha’s teachings are understood at many levels, and therefore can appeal to a great variety of people regardless of their experience. Whether you know a little about Buddhism or nothing at all, the Festival is designed to touch your heart.
