Our study program – the Foundation Program (FP) is an in-depth program designed for people who wish to deepen their understanding and experience of Kadampa Buddhism through systematic study of essential Buddhist commentaries by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. This study program was designed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso as means to facilitate the development of our unlimited spiritual potential. This class is a perfect opportunity to engage in discussion and meditation with fellow students.
Anyone can join and experience the great benefits of being part of this regular study program. As a result of systematic study, meditation and discussion, we can improve our good heart, our wisdom, and our cherishing of others by going deeper into our study and meditation practice.

Sundays in Guelph @ AKBC • 10:30 AM – 1 PM
FP is held weekly in Guelph @ AKBC on Sunday mornings from 10:30 am – 1 pm with the Resident Teacher, Kelsang Kunden.
We will be studying the book The New Eight Steps to Happiness by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso – a commentary to the Eight Verses of Training the Mind by Bodhisattva Langri Tangpa. As a result of studying this book, we will discover that that even the most difficult situations can be transformed into opportunities for spiritual development. In addition, we will develop greater concentration through systematic meditation practice. Finally, we will improve our compassion and wisdom by engaging with these beautiful teachings and putting them into practice in our daily life.
