Guelph Meditation Classes

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we will not be offering onsite branch classes in the Guelph area. However, AKBC’s community has continued online. You are welcome to join our General Program (Drop-in Classes) via Zoom. Join us online from the comfort of your home. It has never been easier to get to our meditation classes. We recommend you set aside some meditation space in your home and set a determination to join us (at least!) weekly and engage in some meditation practice. Meditation is the source of inner peace and happiness. There is no better time for us to practice meditation. We invite you to join us!

If you have reviewed and agree to the covid-19 guidelines we are following at AKBC, you are very welcome to join us at our Centre in downtown Guelph where we have recently opened up for onsite classes.

Whether joining us onsite in Guelph or online, we welcome you to our classes. Now is the best time to begin and deepen our meditation practice.

Our Meditation Classes

We offer a variety of meditation classes throughout the week online and onsite.

Suitable for everyone, these drop-in meditation classes are part of our General Program. These classes offer simple, practical methods to improve the quality of our lives and develop inner peace. Each classes focuses on using Buddhist understanding to help us solve our daily problems, let go of negative minds and find the lasting happiness we seek.

What to Expect in a Class

Our meditation classes are for everyone who is interested in learning how to meditate, regardless of background or beliefs. Classes are designed to give a broad introduction to Buddhist meditation, teachings, and practice.
Every class includes a chance to practise meditation. No prior experience, special equipment or special clothes are necessary for our onsite classes – just come as you are, and bring your mask.

Classes are all standalone individual classes that are presented in a series. You do not need to attend the full series to attend a class.

Day and Weekend Retreats

We also offer meditation retreats once or twice each month. We offer morning retreats, day retreats, week retreats and week-long retreats. Retreats are the best method to go deeper into our meditation practice.  Find out more about the upcoming retreats below!
