Our Meditation Courses
Our meditation courses are designed to gain deeper experience of practical topics. We offer half day, day and weekend courses throughout the year.
Half Day Courses
We offer a half day course each month on Saturday morning or afternoon. Each half day course consists of two one-hour and fifteen minute sessions with a 30 minute break between sessions. The break is time to discuss, ask questions or simply go for a walk.
In each session, there is a teaching, discussion and guided meditation to deepen our understanding on a particular topic. Meditation courses are designed for us to bring Buddha’s wisdom to solve our daily problems. By contemplating topics in this way and discussing with our spiritual friends, we increase our own insight or inner wisdom. Through gaining a deeper experience of Buddha’s teachings, we are able to increase the source of our inner peace and happiness.These half day meditation courses are open to everyone, to all backgrounds and level of experience. Courses are held in person only.

What to Expect at a Course
Our half day, day and weekend courses are for everyone who is interested in learning how to meditate, regardless of background or beliefs, and for those who would like to delve deeper into Buddhist practice. Our half day courses are designed to look at how we can integrate Buddha’s teaching into our life to solve our daily problems and difficulties. Every class includes a chance to practise meditation. No prior experience, special equipment or special clothes are necessary for our courses – just come as you are.
Half Day Courses
Generally run from 1 – 4 pm with two session that are 1 hour and 15 minutes each with a 30 minute break in between.
Day Courses
Generally run from 10 – 4pm with three sessions. There is generally a longer break for lunch. Students are invited to bring a lunch to the centre or to pick up lunch at many of the restaurants nearby.

Day Courses
We also offer day courses three or four times a year. Day courses are a wonderful opportunity to spend a Saturday contemplating and meditating on an aspect of Buddhist wisdom. During these courses we are able to take an in-depth look and deepen our meditation experience on Buddha’s teachings.
By deepening our understanding on Buddha’s teachings on renunciation, bodhichitta, the correct view of emptiness, we can more easily integrate these teachings into our daily life and solve our daily problems.Each day course consists of three sessions that include teachings, meditations and short prayers. There are short breaks between sessions with a longer break for lunch.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or previous experience.
