Resident Teacher Kelsang Kunden

Kelsang Kunden is a Canadian Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher at Avalokiteshvara Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Guelph. Kunden has been studying Buddhism for over 21 years and was ordained by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in 2002.  Since 1998, Kunden has worked for the New Kadampa Tradition in Canada, Asia, and the United States.  Kelsang Kunden emphasizes the practical application of modern Buddhism in a clear and light manner.

Kelsang Kunden teaches General Program (drop-in classes) and Foundation Program classes at Avalokiteshvara Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Guelph, as well as weekend courses and retreats. Generally, Kunden also holds classes in various branches. However, during the current covid-19 situation, Kelsang Kunden has been teaching all classes by live-stream. We welcome you to join these classes from the comfort of your home.

Kimberly Lippert

Kimberly Lippert is a senior student on the Foundation Program. As a full-time working mother, Kim shows an inspiring example of how to integrate Buddhist teachings into modern daily life. Kim teaches Prayers for World Peace class and occasionally the Foundation Program class.


Kelsang Kunden

Kelsang Kunden is a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and has been practising Buddhism since 1998. Kunden is the Resident Teacher of Avalokiteshvara Kadampa Buddhist Centre. She teaches most of the drop in classes, the Foundation Program and weekend courses and retreats at the Centre and at branches.
