Chanted Prayers

Chanted prayers are essentially guided meditations that are directed to increasing our love, compassion and wisdom. By focusing on the meaning of these prayers while we chant them, we gain deep spiritual insights, or realizations, that will bring us deep inner peace and happiness. These beautiful prayers help us to receive inspiration and increase peace throughout the world. By drawing close to the enlightened beings we develop a calm, balanced mind and awaken our own potential for enlightenment.

We hold regular prayers meditations at Avalokiteshvara Kadampa Buddhist Centre. Prayers are a guided meditation and usually include some mantra recitation and meditation. Prayers are in English. Our prayer sessions are free and everyone is welcome to attend. In 2023 we are offering a variety of prayers on Sunday mornings. Join us for prayers and stay for our Meditation for World Peace class.

See our upcoming prayers below.
