Freedom from Painful Emotions
Sundays in October
Online and Onsite
2:30 – 4pm
As happiness and suffering are states of mind, if we are to find the happiness we seek an understanding of our mind is essential. Through learning how our mind works, we can begin to bring our mind under control, and thereby improve the quality of our life, both now and in the future. The course is the second in our fall series based on How to Understand the Mind, a practical guide that offers deep insights into the nature and functions of the mind. In October we will look specifically how to oppose specific negative minds as they arise in our minds.
The course is the second in our fall series based on How to Understand the Mind, a practical guide that offers deep insights into the nature and functions of the mind. It explains how to develop and maintain a light and positive mind through recognizing and then abandoning states of mind that harm us, and replacing them with peaceful and beneficial ones.
Join Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Kunden for Sundays in October for a series of classes that explore Buddhist teachings and meditations and learn how to control and eventually eliminate those painful emotions that disturb our mind.
You are also welcome to join us for this class on Wednesday evenings at 7pm.

Happiness and suffering are parts of the mind; the former is a joyful feeling and the latter an unpleasant feeling. Since happiness and suffering are parts of the mind, if we want to avoid suffering and find true happiness we need to understand the nature and functions of the mind.
