Happiness Matters

Wednesdays in August

Meditation Classes
Online and Onsite
7 – 8:30pm

Happiness is important. It’s important for our physical, spiritual and mental well-being. But what is the secret to happiness? How can we find the peace, contentment and mental equilibrium that contribute to our daily happiness? Buddha explained that being happy is all about mental attitude, not what we have or what we do. Everyone has the potential for deep and lasting happiness, and here is our chance to discover it.

wednesdays in august - happiness matters

In this summer series of classes, join Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Kunden for Wednesdays in August. Through training in the practice of meditation and mindfulness we can develop three simple attitudes that will generate our own inner experience of happiness.

You are welcome to attend the whole series, or just drop in for one class. You are also welcome to join us for this class on Sunday afternoons at 2:30pm.

Topics:

August 11 – Contentment
August 18 – Acceptance
August 25 – Joy
September 1 – Gratitude

Happiness and suffering are parts of the mind; the former is a joyful feeling and the latter an unpleasant feeling. Since happiness and suffering are parts of the mind, if we want to avoid suffering and find true happiness we need to understand the nature and functions of the mind.
