Living Lightly

Wednesdays in July

Meditation Classes
Online and Onsite
7-8pm

Buddha’s most profound teachings explain that to live more lightly we need to understand how things really exist. At the moment, we grasp onto problems and difficulties as being so solid and real that this can cause us to experience fear and suffering. With the practice of mindfulness and alertness in our meditation session and in our daily life, we can gradually learn to relax our tight hold. In this way we can enjoy a stable experience of peace and happiness and cope with problems and difficulties easily.

Wednesdays in July - Living Lightly

Join Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Kunden on Wednesdays in July for a series of classes that explore Buddhist teachings and meditations – practical methods for learning to live lightly. Through improving our wisdom we can effectively work to change things for the better from a place of inner peace that cannot be disturbed by changing conditions.

You are also welcome to join us for this class on Sunday afternoons at 2:30pm.

Think that all phenomena are like dreams.

~ Geshe Chekhawa– from Universal Compassion

If we think like this we will be able to live in the conventional world without grasping at it. We will treat it lightly, and have the flexibility of mind to respond to every situation in a constructive way.

~ Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso — from Modern Buddhism
