Wishfulfilling Jewel with tsog is a collection of prayers that involve making offerings of food and drink to the Buddhas in conjunction with prayers. They are an excellent method for accumulating merit, purifying negativity and receiving blessings.
The first part of the prayers is the Guru Yoga practice visualizing our Spiritual Guide in the aspect of Je Tsongkhapa. The second part of the prayers are prayers to our Dharma protector Dorje Shugden. We request Dorje Shugden to eliminate obstacles and to provide favourable conditions for our Dharma practice.
This practice is done on Fridays. Please bring a small vegetarian food offering. The food is all shared after the prayers.
By engaging in this practice, we will create a great collection of virtue, which will also lead us into the pathway to the Pure Land of a Buddha. We perform this Powa Practice on behalf of those who have recently died, traditionally within forty-nine days of their death.
We engage in Wishfulfilling Jewel prayers on most Fridays of each month. Everyone is welcome to join us for Wishfulfilling Jewel.
